Joey Davies

Joey PicBeginning her career in Winnipeg Manitoba, Joey studied all aspects of dance disciplines at Kids Etc.’s Youth Movement Company, The Royal Winnipeg Ballet and Contemporary Dancers.

After finishing her B.A. in Psychology at The University of Manitoba, Joey was accepted to The Randolph Academy for the Performing Arts in Toronto. It was at RAPA where she honed her training in singing, acting and dancing. While in Toronto, Joey performed in T.V. shows, commercials and theatre, including Stage West’s Goldilocks, Cinderella and Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer. Also, while in Toronto, Joey started the competitive dance division at The Dance Institute in Markham, training dancers in Jazz, Lyrical, Tap, Acro and Musical Theatre. Joey also became part of the Randolph faculty after she graduated, teaching Jazz in the college program for a year as well as choreographing many Randolph stage productions. Joey also became a musical theatre teacher in the Randolph Academy Junior division for 6 years before leaving Toronto.

Joey moved to Victoria in 2009 and since then has been teaching Jazz, Lyrical, Tap, Musical Theatre, and Acro at studios in Greater Victoria. Joey is pleased to be part of the faculty and teaching students at Leap Forward Dance School!
